We Need Your Prayers Again, Please!

We need your prayers
again, please!

Those of you who have been with me since I began blogging, know that this has not been an easy year for my family. My big, strong, handsome husband, Lurch, had to have a toe amputated. While he was recovering, my Mother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is an incurable cancer of the bones. Lurch and I retired from our long time careers as educators so that we could provide care for my mother. However, most of our time has been spent at home since Lurch had to undergo emergency heart bypass surgery in February. His recovery has been difficult and slow. Now Lurch is facing an unexpected additional toe surgery and complications with his heart. His surgery is scheduled for July 17th, but the surgery cannot proceed if these new heart problems aren't quickly corrected. He is scheduled for diagnostic heart tests tomorrow.

Tango is shown here trying to fill Grande's shoes. Grande is what the grandkids call Lurch. As big as Lurch's shoes are, his place in our hearts and in our lives is even bigger. No one call fill his shoes...ever.

Please keep Lurch in your prayers!

My Mother will be joining us in Houston next week as she visits MD Anderson to explore some new procedures in the treatment of her cancer. As any of us would be, she will be fearful and nervous as she faces painful tests and tough decisions. I will be praying for Mother to have strength, courage, peace of mind and wisdom.

Please keep my Mother in your prayers!

In my opinion, the best thing about blogging is the opportunity to create an extended family of wonderful blogging buddies who are always there to support and encourage. This week, I noticed that there are two blogging friends who need our support and prayers:

Ann of Ann's Imagination Creations is facing a personal problem which has a heavy emotional impact. Ann has shared her problem with me and let me tell you, I know there are others out there facing the same problem. I will be praying for Ann and her husband to have faith, patience and strength. I pray that solutions and opportunities present themselves to this couple. I am sure she would appreciate a comment of encouragement on her blog.

Please keep Ann in your prayers!

Debi of The Junkin' YaYa asks for prayers for her grown daughter who is seriously ill and may be faced with hospitalization. As a mother and as a friend, my heart goes out to Debi and her family. I am sure Debi could also use comments of encouragement on her blog.

Please keep Debi in your prayers!

I would also like to request that you keep these special ladies in your prayers:

Debbie of Talking Trash keeps us all posted on the marvelous improvements of her beautiful granddaughter, Bella Marie. I will continue to pray for Bella until she is able to go home to the arms of her mom, Jen, and grandmother, Debbie.

Please keep Debbie, Bella and Jen in your prayers!

Sue of Practicing Random Acts of Kindness is my good friend and a tough woman. She has faced and overcome some major obstacles in the past years. Although she generally suffers in silence, I know she appreciates your prayers, support and kind comments.

Please keep Sue in your prayers!

Thank you, my blogging family! Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for supporting, encouraging and inspiring. Thank you for your prayers.

MALisa, thank you for allowing us into your life. When I know what to pray for, I am diligent. I will be praying for Lurch and your family, as well as the medical professionals who influence his care. Also, a big thanks for this prayer request list. We sometimes, need reminders that others are in need of prayer, as well. Much love, my friend. ~Mindy

You know girlfriend, it is a crazy we world we live in these days but the friendship and prayers that everyone share somehow keeps us all going. And you KNOW I got your back covered, so relax, breathe deep and hug Madi and Tango! That is a magical cure to anything. Sue

Mal,
d. I love you like my sister!

You and Lurch are always in my prayers, but I will as Mindy said, be more specific. You, sweet girl, I will pray for strength and energy which I know you have to be running low on. Turn it over to Him and let him carry you. Have faith, believe and know that I am only a phone call or a click away. We have some mighty prayer warriors out here in the nether world and I have seen what the power of thousands can do....namely Bella!
~Though I walk in the middle of trouble, thou wilt revive me.~Psalms 138:7
Love,
Debbie

Prayer for healing
Hear my prayer, O Lord, heed my plea for mercy.
In time of trouble I call You, for You will answer me.
When pain and illness are my companions, let there be room in my heart for strength.
When the days and nights are filled with darkness, let the light of courage find its place.
Help me endure the suffering and dissolve the fear; renew within me the calm spirit of trust and peace.
We praise you, O God, Healer of the Sick .
.................................

A prayer for healing
God, hear my prayer,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide from me in the day of my distress
Turn to me and speedily answer my prayer.
Eternal God, Source of healing,
Out of my distress I call upon You.
Help me sense Your presence
At this difficult time.
Grant me patience when the hours are heavy;
In hurt or disappointment give me courage.
Keep me trustful in Your love.
Give me strength for today, and hope for tomorrow.
To your loving hands I commit my spirit
When asleep and when awake. You are with me; I shall not fear.

Glad to pray for you & Lurch, your Mother and the others. So sorry to hear of all these serious issue's but I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and know if we all send OUR prayers for healing up to God,
miracles can happen.
" HEAL ME , O LORD , AND I WILL BE HEALED;
SAVE ME AND I WILL BE SAVED, FOR YOU ARE
THE ONE I PRAISE." - jeremiah17:14
