Another one of life's
mysteries answered!

Does a bear sh*t
in the woods?

The answer seems obvious!
Bears prefer restrooms.

This Just On The News Stand!

I Won This Fantastic
Work of Art!
I still can't believe it! I feel so honored to have won this original artwork by KC Willis of Lipstick Ranch! How generous of her to even offer us bloggers a chance to win such a fantabulous prize! I can't say thank you enough to KC!

Did I mention that the first of KC's "The Women-The Flag" is displayed in the Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth? In this piece of art, there are 50 women in place of the stars! How wonderful is that?

I know I have written about KC's Collage Camp before, but let me tell you again...it is fantastic! It is an online creative experience! If you want more information on Collage Camp, just click on the badge on my blog.

And now KC is offering Collage Camp II, Mixed Media Mania! I am so excited to go to camp! Got my pillow, my camera and my insect repellent and I'm ready to go! What? It's not that kind of camp? Oh, it's online! That's even better. That means we can escape the summer heat by hanging out under the air-conditioner while in camp! You can check out Mixed Media Mania by clicking on the button on my blog too!

Come on, join us! We are a creative group of Happy Campers!

And let me say one more time...THANK YOU, KC! I am honored and humbled.

Let's Get Out Of The Same Old "Rut"!

I think I'll have a
gin and tonic.
What will you have, "dear"?

Oh, I don't know...
do you have enough "doe"?

Go wild, "dear"...
I have a few "bucks"!

Show and Tell!

After the feast...
comes the reckoning.

After the creating...
comes the display.

This is the last collage I have completed
in Collage Camp. It features a Paper Moon
photo from my collection along with a vintage
flash card and silver spoon.

This collage is titled Welcome to Rodeo Drive
and features cowboys, leather, turquoise
and rhinestones! After all, it is
Rodeo Drive!

This precious photo of three brothers on potties
inspired me to create Not House Broken.
Check out the brother in the middle!

This was the first collage in did in Collage Camp.
This collage features a wonderful vintage photo strip,
a leather collar, dog tags and a rawhide treat!

Hope you enjoyed...
now I have to get back to work!
Are you  interested in Collage Camp?
Just click on the Collage Camp button
on my sidebar!

Whew!

I was gonna show
my art work today...
but I got busy in the yard...

I had to trim the trees!

Then I cleaned the pool!

My flower garden
needed attention!

And, of course,
I had to mow the yard!

The fountains were a mess!
That was a nasty job!

Then I pulled weeds
in my vegetable garden...
and harvested some goodies
for my gourmet lunch!

Finally...
I washed my car!

Now that the heavy stuff is out of the way,
I'll give you a peek...
of my art...

tomorrow!

I've Been Busy, Busy, Busy!

Have you noticed my absence lately?
I have been busy!
I mean really busy!
What in the world has me
in a creative tailspin?

KC Willis Collage Camp!
Seriously, girls...
you know I don't get the
sewing machine and ironing board
out for just anybody!

I have to admit that I have been in a big, old creative slump lately.  I was afraid that maybe my school administration job had killed every creative bone in my body. I feared that my creative days might be over. I couldn't get myself motivated enough to get off my big rear and spend time creating.

Then the weirdest thing happened.  On a whim, I signed up to take KC's Collage Camp classes online. Why? I'm really not sure. That little creative voice inside my head just told me to do it.  When I signed up and looked at the other members, I felt totally overwhelmed by the amount of artistic talent in the group. What was I doing along side all these experienced artists?

Oh, my gosh, I have had the best time!  Everyone has been so friendly and supportive and KC really knows how to teach!  I looked forward to each video! I have learned so much, but best of all is that my creative spark is back!  Collage Camp has me on fire!  In fact, I just got through signing up for KC's new series of online classes called Mixed Media Mania!

I am going to get brave in the next few days and show you some of the work I have done in Collage Camp.  It may take awhile though because I have to tear myself away from my creative work long enough to get on the computer to post!

Hey, I have an idea!  Why don't you join us?  Need to get out of your slump or just learn some new techniques?  Click on either of the two KC Willis badges on my sidebar for online class information. We will have fun!
