We Have Lost The Lion...

The Lion of the Senate

"It is better to send in the Peace Corps
than the Marine Corps."

"This disaster reminds us that we are all
part of the American family and we have
a responsibility to to help members of that
family when they are in need."

"Integrity is the lifeblood of democracy.
Deceit is a poison in its veins."

"The Constitution does not just protect
those whose views we share;
it also protects those with whose views we disagree."

1932-2009

Rest in Peace

What an incredible family, the Kennedys! And what a fighter for the "good" were they all!!

I'm torn up over this....not to the point of losing sleep, but really struck with the dual nature of human beings that we all share; the capacity for greatness as well as weakness. I have always admired Ted Kennedy and his public service. I also can't forget Chappaquiddick. Who else could get away with that? I wonder how much of TK's dedication to good works was motivated by that.
